Strategist
Motion Sickness is looking for a talented Strategist to join the team. Join a leading agency with a team making work that sets the standard.
This role will provide plenty of opportunities to create impactful work that influences culture, and changes behaviour. The ideal candidate must have a strong passion for discovering innovative ways to bring brand concepts to reality, and the ability to articulate these perspectives with clarity. Experience within a previous strategy role is a must.
Key roles/requirements:
• Capable of managing medium to large strategic projects working alongside Head of Strategy.
• A critical and creative thinker who enjoys collaborating with clients. creatives, and the wider agency team to develop perspectives and discover solutions that drive change.
• Able to prepare and present insights in simple language, create strong strategic recommendations, craft engaging stories and write compelling presentations.
• Comfortable in the grey area between creative, strategy and client management. Experienced in developing an idea from conception to implementation.
• Happy to work with wider agency partners and clients, directly managing strategic streams of work.
Skills:
• 2+ years of relevant industry experience in strategy.
• Strong writing ability.
• Proficient at interpreting both quantitative and qualitative research and using results for both insight and creative development.
• Skilled in transforming high-level creative thinking into actionable steps.
• Demonstrated track record of producing innovative ideas, approaches, and work for multiple brands. Ability to share examples of your strategic work in interview process.
• Confident in monitoring and generating insights and ideas from small to large briefs.

We are looking for an Account Director or Senior Account Manager to join our world-class, tight-knit, ambitious team based in Tāmaki Makaurau.
We’re looking for someone who has proven ability to build strong, respectful relationships with both clients, other agency partners, and our internal team. You will be passionate, hard to fluster, and a team player. You will seek to provide the team clarity, and won’t get stuck in the weeds - keeping one eye on the bigger picture. Solutions orientated and self-motivated, you will want to create work that breaks boundaries, exceeds expectations, and creates positive change. Top notch communication and project management skills a given.
The role will include involvement in managing key existing clients across both public and private sector, as well as pitching for new ones. As a fully integrated independent agency, you will gain both creative and media side exposure, as well as production if desired. Must have 2 or 3 years relevant experience. Experience in a creative agency preferred, but media or similar background also considered. Strategy experience a bonus.

Working within the Motion Sickness creative team across various clients, this role would suit someone with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a creative agency. The position is open to any type of creative, but it is more likely to suit someone who leans toward ideation and copywriting - rather than art direction.
